My Top 5 Favorite Mobile Games

Hello everyone!
How have you been?

Today I want to share my version of Top 5 Favorite Mobile Games. As we all know, there are tons of mobile games we can download and play with different genres and gameplay whether they're free or not. Disclaimer for this post, my top 5 mobile games were chosen from the games I've ever played and it doesn't mean that other games are not great.

Let's start with number one!
*Note: The order I mention below is not based on rank.

1. Mr. Love: Dream Date
As you might have guessed, it is a visual novel kind of game where you can interact such as having calls, texts, and chats with the main characters at a certain time. The story begin with a girl as a media producer, meeting the main characters and story happens. In order to play the game, you need to clear levels between the stories while growing your career as media producer. Like the other visual novels, it uses stamina to clear the challenge levels but what I love about this game is it doesn't need stamina to play the stories. It also has many events and other gameplay. The challenges use cards that we have and in order to collect the cards, we can draw cards from the "Wish Tree" to get N, NH, R, SR, SSR cards. The story itself is intriguing and makes you sit on the edge of your seat. They've just updated chapter 11 until 14!

2. Will of Nen (Previously Hunter Fantasy)
Another gacha game! Hunter Fantasy is a Hunter x Hunter game. I put it in my top 5 because Hunter x Hunter has a place in my heart lol.
There are lots of missions, events, and daily quests you can do such as adventure, heaven arena, guild, dark continent, arena, shop, tavern, and meteor city. There is also Greed Island where you can gather fruits, fishing, and trade your fruits with materials you might need or fight with other people. This game has many events and it's pretty easy to get diamonds, make sure you join the suitable mission and use the diamonds wisely to upgrade your hunter. Another thing to remember, it's better for you who have much time in hand.
Edit (June, 30th 2020): The game's name has changed to Will of Nen.

3. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
I'm sure most of you have heard about this game and I don't think I need to explain it lol. Simply saying, it's a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) game. There are lots of events and game mode (sometimes they release deathbattle mode, mayhem, etc). My favorite is the survival mode since it's fun (Idk, I'm just addicted). It's much better if you have friends to play with especially if you want to rank up otherwise it might be a little challenging. Also remember thag you need to have good to great internet connection or else your team might report you for your poor performance (laggy, etc). The only thing I'm not happy with is there are too many toxic players. I found one in brawl mode, that person was mythic rank and I was grandmaster (which is 3 rank below), even though my performance was good in the middle of the game, the person still talk bad and use profanity words about me being noob, low rank, gm, etc. Luckily the other members support me (and they're mythic too) and we won in the end, I got MVP and that person got bronze. So, what I want to say is, if you start or are playing the game, please do not judge a person by their rank in the beginning of the game and please stop using bad words.

4. Too Many Cooks
Another multiplayer game that is fun to play (and cute characters!). I would say that this game is the simplified mobile version of Overcooked although both gameplays are different. There are solo, party, and online mode. The only "problem" that I have is sometimes my phone gets hot after playing 5 more rounds in party mode.

5. Cytus
Best music game in my opinion. I love the story, art, gameplay, and most importantly the songs! There are various hidden songs/levels that you can unlock by interacting with the game screen. I personally love how "random" the buttons appeared and it feels like I'm operating some machine or computer lol. There are in game chapter that you can purchased (but I haven't tried it). My favorite chapter is chapter Knight since I love most of the songs. The only problem that I have is I can't play it on my iPad 2 anymore, the screen froze while the song kept playing in the background.

So, that's my top 5 favorite mobile games! Have you played some of them? Which one? If you haven't, I hope you can find this post entertaining and might as well try to download it if you're interested. What topic should I post next? Comment below or reach me through instagram :)

Oxenfree

Hello gamers!

This time, I will write my experience playing a game called Oxenfree.

What is this game about?
Have you heard about Oxenfree? Oxenfree is a graphic adventure game developed and published by Night School Studio. The gameplay involves us -the player- as one of the characters called Alex. The game starts as Alex and her friends went on a trip to an island and supernatural events started to occur. As things unravel in the story, the characters will have conversations and we -as Alex- need to respond to the characters by choosing from the answers. We will be given a short amount of time to choose the respond we want to give and if you don't answer until the time's over, the choices of answers will gradually disappeared. Please keep in mind that different choices will lead to different ending.

How I find Oxenfree
Just like Subnautica, I knew this game when my brother watched his favorite youtuber played it but I only looked for a second. At that time, I was captivated by its art and gameplay, mostly art at first glance. So, I decided to bought it with Subnautica which I reviewed on the last post (What?! You haven't read that? Check it out!). By that being said, I bought it in 2016 and I played in 2020, this time I mostly played it alone though. Personally, I have never like playing thriller or horror game. Well, lucky me it is not a hardcore horror or horror game in general.

What I like about this game other than its art is how the characters will still have conversations even though we didn't choose an answer. It really has smooth conversations and when I played in the beginning, I didn't even recognized that the game has start since I tried to focus on the story lol (at that time I didn't have any idea how to play it, I only know that Alex's friends will follow her). With that being said, I missed my chance to answer some of the conversations. Even though the game has some ominous element in it, the conversations between characters make it less scary (which is good for me) and somehow we won't feel like playing alone and surprisingly it relaxes me in some ways. The journey really makes a difference when your character's alone, you will feel the tension in the game increased. One more thing, I like how it involes the radio (which I will talk in control section).

Control and UI
Oxenfree is a game where you move your character using keyboard's up, left, right, and down button which is commonly used in games and make it easy to control. On some cases, we will need to use Alex's radio to get through the game which I found really interesting. Press shift on the keyboard to hide and hold the radio then we can set the frequencies by clicking and draging the cursor to the right or left depending on the radio stations.

Art and Music
I love its art and coloring, both characters and backgrounds. The backgrounds make us feel like we are in the game and succeed to give more tensions and mystery to the game. The musics are great and calming in some ways.

Tips
After finishing one time, here are some tips you might keep:
  1. Different choices lead to different endings
  2. I personally suggest to enjoy the game without ending goal in mind for first timer, but when you played it for the second time or third time, might as well keep the ending goal in mind
  3. If you feel scared while walking along the way, turn on the radio because it has musics to listen on the way

I would recommend this game to people who like story games because it needs commitment to play the game and getting different endings unless you just want to try otherwise I personally thought that it would be our loss to buy it once (So, play more!). In my opinion, this game is for you who also like mystery and thriller genre but not really into jumpscares and horror.

That's all my experiences and review about Oxenfree. Have you played the game? What do you think? Comment down below!
